Eid ul-Adha

We know that lots of our famillies will be looking forward to celebrating Eid.

Children who are celebrating Eid can have a 1 day absence on either 19th or 20th July.  You must tell us as soon as possible so the Attendance Team can authorise the absence.

End of year school reports

Children's end of year reports will be sent home on Tuesday.  They will be posted for bubbles who are isolating.  If you require a phone conversation with your child's class teacher about the report, please let us know.  Teachers will call after school on Thursday for anyone who has requested one.

Information about timings and procedures for September

Information will be sent to you before the end of term about updated timings and procedures for September following updated government guidance for schools.

Year 2 children - school dinners from September 2021

Thank you very much for your incredibly generous donations towards our sponsored Readathon.  So far, we have raised a staggering £2,226.51 and donations are still coming in.

Health & Safety on the playground

We are trying very hard in school to keep children in their year group bubbles during Covid to keep everyone safe and able to be in school.  Therefore, please keep your children with you both before school and at the end of the day.  Children must not play on the grass as they are not able to social distance and are mixing with children from other year groups.

No footballs allowed

Please do not allow children to bring a football into school.  There are lots of parents and children in the playground so it is not safe for children to play football.

REGULAR REMINDERS

What to do if someone in your household has coronavirus symptoms

If someone in your household has a coronavirus symptom (persistent cough, temperature or loss of taste or smell) then you must do the following:

 - book a PCR test for the symptomatic person at an official test centre

 - ensure your whole household isolates for 10 days or until a negative test result comes back for the symptomatic person.

You must not take a lateral flow test if you have symptoms - these are only for asymptomatic testing and do not replace the official PCR tests for people with symptoms.

Keeping everyone safe

It is vital that we continue following safety procedures to keep each other safe.  Please make sure you are doing the following:

  • using the one-way system at school. This has not changed at all and everyone knows where to enter and exit the school site.
  • continuing to socially distance from other families in and around school, including keeping the children from different bubbles apart
  • wearing a face covering on the school site as there are a lot of people mixing at drop off and collection times.

What to do if you have a concern

If you have any concerns, please make sure that you raise these in a polite manner with staff. It is important that you speak with the class teacher and then escalate concerns if needed to ensure that they are resolved. The order in which to speak with staff is as follows

  • Class teacher
  • Year Leader or Assistant Head Teacher for your child's phase
  • Deputy Head Teacher
  • Head Teacher

Please do not keep your child off school. This does not help to resolve issues and such absences will not be authorised. We all want the very best for your children and it is important that we communicate and work together to resolve any issues.

Absences from school/Attendance

If your child is unable to attend school for any reason, you must inform school on every day of their absence. If we receive no reason, absences will be unauthorised.

If you receive a text from school or a phone call about your child’s absence, it is vital that you respond as soon as possible.

Every day of school missed means missed learning. Please support your child by getting them into school every day and making us aware of any issues so that we can support you.
