Football champions!

Join us in celebrating our champion footballers.

It's my absolute pleasure to report that we won the Sandwell football final 6.1! The boys were amazing and we are now champions of Sandwell!

Thank you to everyone that came to watch the matches.

Mr Flavell

Year 1 visit to Dudley Zoo

Year 1 enjoyed a wonderful trip to Dudley Zoo last Friday.  The children learned about how animals are classified, and they were able to hold an ostrich egg and stroke a snake’s skin. We explored the grounds and saw tigers, giraffes and a snow leopard.  The children’s behaviour was excellent and I would like to thank all the staff and adults who made the trip such a success.

Year 3 visit to the Frank Chapman Centre

Year 3 visited the Frank Chapman centre where the children were able to delve into the Stone Age. They did this by creating clay pots, tools, and spear throwing as well as creating shelters, as if they were living in the Stone Age. They also had the opportunity to practice their map reading skills by taking part in some orienteering, linking history, geography and PE together.

Year 6 VR experience

To support their learning in Science, Year 6 enjoyed a VR experience where they were shrunken down and transported around the circulatory system! They had a close-up view of a beating heart and also had the chance to recap their learning about the digestive system too. The 'oooohs' and 'ahhhhs' during the session really showed how amazed they were.

Sports days

It was lovely to see so many of you at our Sports Days last week. The children had lots of fun, they were all fabulous! There was lots of participation in the parents races. 😄

The winners of this year's Sports Day from across the whole school is... EAGLES!

Police Race Action Plan T-shirt competition

Design a T Shirt for the Police Race Action Plan to reach the black community and have a better relationship with them. The competition is to create a T-shirt featuring your choice of colours and designs.

The shirt should prominently display "Sandwell Police" and the West Midlands Police logo either on the chest or the arm.

It would be great to incorporate elements related to Black Heritage, such as specific colours or meaningful words. A thoughtful quote could enhance the design, such as: "The time is always right to do what is right" by Martin Luther King or "Never be limited by other people's limited imaginations," or "Be Anti-Racist" or have all the quotes on different parts of the t-shirt.  You could draw the outlines of Africa and the Caribbean with the quotes inside it etc.

This will be a XXXL T-shirt so ample space.

The winner will receive a certificate and box of chocolates and lots of publicity.

Watch this space for details about how to submit your design.  As soon as we have the information, this article will be updated.
