If you need to get information to a member of staff, Mrs Cani will be on the playground before school most days and can take a message.

For the past few years, one of the lovely volunteers from The Dorothy Parkes Centre becomes 'Santa' and visits school to say hello to the children.  As a thank you, we collection donations for Smethwick Food Bank.

If you would like to donate one item of non-perishable food towards the collection, please send it into school by Monday 15th December. 

School attendance is currently 🎉 95% 🎉this is higher than this time last year. Our school target is 96%, so lets see if we can get closer to this by sending your children in everyday, if they are well enough. 

Remember they can come to school with a slight cold, cough, headache or stomach ache. 

School opens at 8:40am and doors shut at 8:50am.

We appreciate it when children are brought to school everyday and on time. 

If your child is ill,  you must contact school daily with a reason and update.  

During our first week back after half term, Reception children visited the local Gurdwara where they explored the main prayer rooms and ate some food in the Langar. 

The children really enjoyed this valuable experience and have had fantastic discussions with their teachers about the Gurdwara. 

Staff would like to thank all parents who came with us and we hope that you enjoyed the visits as much as the children did.

School re-opens on Monday 5th January to all pupils.

Free School Meal vouchers will be sent out to parents last week before Christmas.  The voucher issued is to cover the October 2025 half-term (backdated), the Christmas 2025 and February 2026 half-term holidays (four weeks at £10 per week = £40)

HAF Vouchers have been ordered and will be sent to eligible parents directly from Sandwell Council.

Sandwell Council, in partnership with the Safer Sandwell Partnership and Black Country Women’s Aid, has launched Sandwell Stands Against Violence Towards Women and Girls as part of the internationally recognised 16 Days of Action.

Running from 25 November to 10 December, the campaign includes events across Sandwell’s six towns, focusing on issues such as domestic abuse, stalking, online safety, and sexual violence. A key highlight is the Reclaim the Night Walk on 8 December – a peaceful, family-friendly event to show solidarity and raise awareness.
