As we come to the end of a busy spring term, I would like to thank you for the support you continue to bring to our school community. It has been wonderful to see our children embracing new learning and opportunities. Our staff have worked very hard to provide an inspiring environment for all of our children.

Year 5 had a fantastic time visiting Thimblemill Library recently.  They had the opportunity to look around the library, listen to a story and choose a book to borrow.

Do we have the correct phone numbers for you?

Have you changed your phone number recently? It is really important that we have the correct number to be able to contact you in an emergency. If you are not sure, please contact the school office as soon as possible.

The Holiday and Food (HAF) vouchers for families eligible for free school meals have been emailed to you.  If you have not received them, please contact the school office.

As children begin exploring the online world, it’s important that they do so safely and with the right guidance. The Kids Online Safety website offers a range of helpful tips, ideas and advice to support families in keeping children safe on the internet.

With the holiday coming up, parents and carers across the Black Country are being encouraged to check their child’s vaccination record and book any missed appointments.

Local catch-up clinics are available, making it easy to get children protected without missing school time.

• Vaccinations offered at these clinics include:
  MMR (measles, mumps and rubella)
  MenACWY (meningitis A, C, W and Y)
  DTaP/IPV (diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough and polio)
  HPV (human papillomavirus, where age-appropriate)

If you’re not sure whether your child is up to date, don’t worry – the team will check and advise you when you book.

Vaccinations help protect your child from serious illnesses and reduce the spread of infection in schools and the wider community.
