Newsletter 26th May 2023

Dear Parents and Carers

We wish you a happy half term holiday.  Remember that school is closed on Monday 5th June for staff training.

We look forward to seeing all children in school on Tuesday 6th June.

Important Health & Safety Reminder

We have a lot of parents and children as well as babies and toddlers in prams and pushchairs.  We need your help to prevent accidents.

Please do not allow your children to ride bikes, scooters, skateboards or roller skates or play with balls on the school playground.

ATTENDANCE

Congratulations Puran & Amar Bilkhoo

Congratulations to Puran and Amar Bilkhoo on a fantastic achievement.  They successfully completed the 5km Race for Life for Cancer Research in Cannon Hill Park.  Both boys ran and walked the whole 5km whilst trying to keep cool and hydrated in the heat!  Well done Puran and Amar - we are all very proud of you!

All letters and messages are sent via the School Gateway app.  Please make sure you have the app on your phone/tablet/computer and that it is logged in and push notifications are set.  Otherwise, you might miss important information.

This week we have been learning all about keeping healthy and fit.

Talk to your child about what sorts of food are good for us and how some food should be eaten in moderation. Talk about how exercise is important to help keep us fit.  As the weather is lovely, a stroll in the park or playing some outdoor games will support their learning.

Attending assemblies, workshops and events at Uplands Manor - important reminder

If you are attending your child's assembly, a parent workshop or another event in school, please make sure you arrive on time.

We are sure you understand that, when adults arrive late to assemblies, it is very distracting for the children taking part.

Unfortunately, in future, if you arrive more than 15 minutes after the start time of an event, you will not be able to attend.

It is your responsibility to be on time.
