Uplands Manor Guitar and Ukelele group and Singing group helped to get everyone at Sandwell Aquatic Centre in the mood for Christmas at the Christmas light switch on.  Thank you to Sandwell Council Neighbourhoods Service Team for inviting them.

Thank you very much to everyone who has donated items for Smethwick Food Bank. We are very grateful for your generosity.

A fantastic Christmas dinner and Christmas jumper day yesterday. The children and staff enjoyed spending their lunchtime together.

Please try to arrange medical appointments outside school time.

If your child has an arranged appointment, please let us know as soon as possible and at least 24 hours' notice so we can make sure the children are ready for when you need to collect them.  

Please make sure that you give us new phone numbers or email addresses so our database is up to date in case of emergencies or so you receive messages and notifications from school. 

The School Gateway app won't work if the details we have for you are incorrect.

SCHOOL GATEWAY APP

Only 49.4% of Uplands Manor parents and carers are using the School Gateway app.

This means that over half of parents are missing important information and communication from school, which means that your child could miss out on events, visits and you will miss important information and updates.

It takes less than 5 minutes to download the app and sign up.

Many families in Sandwell could get free school meals but don't claim for them. To check if you are eligible, click https://www.sandwell.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals 

Free School Meal vouchers will be sent out to parents last week before Christmas.  The voucher issued is to cover the October 2025 half-term (backdated), the Christmas 2025 and February 2026 half-term holidays (four weeks at £10 per week = £40).

If you are eligible for Free School Meals (this doesn't include Universal Free School Meals) but you don't receive the vouchers, please contact school either by Friday 19th December or on Monday 5th January.

HAF Vouchers have been ordered and will be sent to eligible parents directly from Sandwell Council.
