CELEBRATION
It's Good to be Green but it's Great to be Gold!
Pupils who show exceptional behaviour for the majority of the week can be chosen to receive a gold letter. Gold letters have been given to:
- Davina J for consistently showing exemplary behaviour and settling into the new year so maturely
- Samba J for his enthusiasm sharing ideas
- Daniella C for effort within her work
- Hubab M for making an extra effort in Art
- Eshaal A for making an extra effort in Art
- Caitlin R. for making an extra effort in Art
- Ezrah O for settling into the new year so well
- Peyton G for settling into the new year so well

We believe that it is important to celebrate achievements. Each week, children may be given a gold letter from a member of staff or a certificate from Mr Dickinson, Miss Copestake or Miss James.
If your child has done something special outside school - maybe they have helped someone or done something special. Tell us so that the Uplands community can share in their celebration. Email headteacher@uplandsmanor.sandwell.sch.uk
Congratulations to the children who have received a Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher award this week. They are:
- Carson B for his dedication and enthusiasm in lessons
- Amanjot K for being credit to the class, always listening and trying her best - great start to the year.
- Brogan N for a fantastic start to the year!
A big well done ....

PE lessons - earrings
Earrings present a hazard to both the wearer and other children taking part in sports activities. Children are not permitted to wear jewellery, including pierced earrings, during PE lessons.
Teachers are not allowed to take out or replace children’s earrings so please take them out at home on PE days.
Mobile phones
Please do not allow your child to bring their mobile phone into school. Year 6 will not be able to walk home alone yet so there is no need for them to bring their phone in.
LABEL IT! LABEL IT! LABEL IT! LABEL IT! LABEL IT!
Please label every item of clothing, shoes, PE kits, coats, water bottles, lunch boxes, lunch bags, etc that your child wears or uses in school.
Any lost property that does not have the child's name on, will be regularly taken to the charity. School does not take responsibility for lost items that do not have your child's name on.
