Governance
The Role of a Governor at Uplands Manor
The National Governance Association is the largest voluntary body in the UK. A governor's role is to advise and support the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team and act as a 'critical friend'.
School governors are tasked with three core functions in order to provide the highest standards of education to pupils at Uplands Manor.
- Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
- Holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils
- Overseeing the financial performance of the school
