Thank you to everyone for your competition entries and donations to Children in Need.  After a lot of deliberating over the hundreds of entries we received, the overall winners in our Design a Mask competition are:

Malachi – Reception – Miss James loved the positive messages of hope and smiley faces on the mask.

Insha – Year 3 – Mr Dickinson loved the design and how she had COVID safety messages, as well as thank you to the NHS in English and Urdu.

Liam – Year 5 – It was the entry that most made Miss Copestake smile!

We had so many entries and it was difficult to judge and how much effort everyone made.

The overall winner of spottiest/most creative costume is Daniel M in Year 3.  The judges loved the combination of Pudsey ears, full face painting and home-made personalised t-shirt, with his name creatively written.

Christmas jumper & lunch day - Wednesday 16th December

On Wednesday 16th December, children can come to school in their Christmas jumpers.  The school lunch will be a turkey dinner (a vegetarian option will be available).

The full menu is advertised on the school website.  Please book and pay for your child's Christmas lunch on the School Gateway app.

If your child is in receipt of free school meals or in Reception - Year 2, please contact the school office to book a dinner.

The cut-off date for booking and payments is Tuesday 8th December 2020.

SCHOOL DINNER DEBTS

There is currently a total debt in excess of £2,300.  School cannot afford to pay for this as it then impacts on the resources available for all pupils.  You wouldn't turn up to a shop or a restaurant and have a meal but not pay for it - the same applies to school.  It is unfair that some parents are expecting school to cover these costs.  If you cannot pay for school dinners and are not entitled to free school meals then you should send sandwiches in instead.

Weekly statements are sent out to parents and we always do our best to support families in difficulty - but you must communicate and work with us. Please contact Sarah Clarke in the school office to arrange payment terms if you are experiencing any difficulties.  Any parents with an outstanding debt must provide a packed lunch for their child until the debt is paid unless payment terms are agreed.  Thank you for your understanding and support with this.
