The website/Twitter and Facebook are the best way of keeping up to date with school news and dates. Remember to check regularly for upcoming events and pass the information on to other parents that you know.
Headteacher & Deputy Headteacher Awards
Some children are sent to the Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher for a special award. This week, they were given to:
- Marks for a fabulous letter
- Ocean for an amazingly emotive piece of writing
It's Good to be Green but it's Great to be Gold!
Pupils who show exceptional behaviour for the majority of the week can be chosen to receive a gold letter. Gold letters have been given to:
- Ayaan for fantastic listening and super behaviour at all times
- Zakariyah for looking after our new pupil so thoughtfully
- Manraj for hard work in all subjects
- Brogan for hard work in all subjects
- Hafsa for hard work in all subjects
- Bentley for hard work in all subjects
- Nathaniel for hard work in all subjects
- Priya for hard work learning column addition and subtraction
- Samir for hard work learning column addition and subtraction

Pupil Data forms
Please return the completed pupil data forms by Monday 4th November. It is important that we have the correct details for your child and your emergency contact information.
Edgmond Hall & Pioneer Centre Residentials
Unfortunately, all the places have been filled for Edgmond Hall and Pioneer Centre.
Reception - Year 6 nasal flu immunisations
You should have received an NHS form about the nasal flu immunisations. Please return the completed form by Wednesday 20th November. The immununisations will be administered on 22nd November.
PE days in Autumn 2
The PE days for autumn 2 can be found on the website and on the attached document. Please check which day your child has PE each week and make sure they have their PE kit in school (white t-shirt, black shorts and plain black PE pumps or trainers).
Blue Peter Badge!
A special mention to Denajah who will be featured on Blue Peter on 7th November. Denajah completed the application for the special music Blue Peter badge designed by Ed Sheeran and they have contacted her to inform her that she will be featured on the show.
Introducing the exciting launch of Laula’s, our new food and dining experience. The name Laula’s was created by the school pupil council in honour of our cook Lynne Lawler who has worked at the school for over 20 years. The school meals will now be provided by our new caterers who are LTS Catering, they will be taking over after half term on Monday 4th November. They have extensive experience in providing nutritious school meals and have recently received a Gold Award for Food offering and standards. A new ordering system will be introduced later in the term, plus a consultation regarding the prospect of offering halal meals. Please find below a link to the new menu.

Class Assemblies
Parents' Evenings & Book Fayre 19th & 21st November
Parents' Evenings are on Tuesday 19th and Thursday 21st November 3.40 - 6pm. Letters have been sent home this week with instructions on how to book an appointment.
Y1 Hearing Tests - 5th November
Y1 hearing tests will take place on Tuesday 5th November for any children who haven't been tested.
AUTUMN LIGHTS CELEBRATION DAY WEDNESDAY 6TH NOVEMBER
On Wednesday 6th November, we will be having a celebration day for Autumn Lights with a non-uniform day. Children and staff can come to school in their own clothes for a donation of 50p per person. The day will end with the FOUM Autumn Lights disco at 3.30pm.
You and your children are invited to the Autumn Lights Disco on Wednesday 6th November 3.30 - 5pm. Tickets cost 50p per person and can be bought on the door.
There will be:
- Fabulous tunes courtesy of our Resident DJ Mr Williams
- A dance competition
- Face painting
- Glow sticks
- Sweets and crisps
- Samosas
- Popcorn
- Hot and cold drinks
School Gateway App
Please check the notification settings on your mobile phone are turned on for the School Gateway app so that you receive messages. If the settings are turned off, you will need to regularly log into the app to see any notifications.
Lost Property
We currently have several winter coats and over 20 school cardigans /jumpers in lost property, none of which are named.
Please put your child's name in their belongings including their coat. It makes it much easier for us to return lost items to their rightful owner.
Aldi Kit for Schools Stickers
Thank you to everyone who has brought in the Aldi Kit for Schools stickers. We have filled the first poster and are now starting to fill up the second. Please keep sending the stickers into school by Monday 11th November.
FOUM request
FOUM will be making Christmas crackers for the Winter Wonderland and have asked if you could send in the cardboard middles of kitchen rolls.
