Dear Parents and Carers

The website, Twitter and Facebook are the best way of keeping up to date with school news and dates. Remember to check regularly for upcoming events and pass the information on to other parents that you know.

Billionaire Boy Theatre Visit

Well done to the children who went to the Alexandra Theatre to see Billionaire Boy.  The production was excellent and the children were great ambassadors for Uplands Manor.  They were a real credit to both school and parents.  We hope they told you all about it!

Kaycee's amazing donation to fundraise for Matt's Mission

One of our children, Kaycee, is raising money for the Matt's Mission Children's Charity by donating her very long ponytail to make a wig for a child going through hair loss due to Cancer treatment. Please click on the link below to find out more information.  Well done Kaycee - what a wonderful idea!

Food in Schools Policy

The children will be bringing home a copy of our updated Food in School Policy.  Please note, especially, the reminder that we are a Nut Free School and the change to arrangements for children's birthdays.

Celebrating children's birthdays in school

On a child’s birthday (or on the nearest school day to that child’s birthday if it falls during a weekend or holiday period) they are invited to come into school wearing non-uniform so that they feel special and their birthday can be recognised.

Children are not able to bring food to share (sweets, cakes, biscuits etc) into school on their birthday.  Many such items contain ingredients that not all children can have.  These include nuts, gelatine, dairy and this can cause upset as well as putting some children at risk.

Year 5 & 6 After School Clubs

As you will remember, all after school clubs will finish for Year 5 and 6 children on Friday 6th December.  After Christmas, the clubs will be for Year 3 and 4 children only.  A letter will be sent out next week with the list of clubs.

Edgmond & Pioneer Residentials

There are still a number of children who have only paid the non-refundable £20 deposit for the Edgmond Hall and Pioneer Centre residentials.  Please remember that the balance must be paid in full by 20 December.
