550th celebration of the birth of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's birth

A Happy 550th Gurpub on the Birth of Guru Nanak Devji, the founder of the Sikh faith.  We extend our congratulations and are aware of local, national and international celebrations that our families have enjoyed this week.

Year 5 & 6 After school clubs Monday 18th - Friday 22nd November

As you were told in the club offer letter, all after school clubs for Year 5 and 6 will be cancelled next week. 

  

Anti-bullying awareness - wear odd socks on Tuesday 19th November

Anti-bullying awareness will take place during the week beginning 18th November.  On Tuesday 19th November, children can wear odd socks to show their awareness of anti-bullying.

  

Parents' Evenings & Book Fayre 19th & 21st November

Parents' Evenings are on Tuesday 19th and Thursday 21st November 3.40 - 6pm.  Please remember to book an appointment online with your child's class teacher.  If you are having difficulties booking online, please speak to one of the School Receptionists.

Headteacher & Deputy Headteacher Awards

Some children are sent to the Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher for a special award.  This week, they were given to:

  • Sofia for an excellent piece of work about Remembrance Day
  • Jacob S for an excellent piece of work about Remembrance Day

  

It's Good to be Green but it's Great to be Gold!

Pupils who show exceptional behaviour for the majority of the week can be chosen to receive a gold letter.  Gold letters have been given to:

  • Damir for great behaviour, wonderful contribution to class learning and setting a positive example to peers
  • Elyah for great behaviour, wonderful contribution to class learning and setting a positive example to peers
  • Liam R for always setting a fantastic example to the rest of the class

  

Weekly Attendance

The highest attending classes during last week were: 

Manor 96%, RJC 96.7%. 1C 98.5%, 2F 100%!!!!, 3I 98.4%, 4JRB 97.9%, 5C 98.3%, 6G 98.1%

  

Non-uniform day and FOUM disco fundraising

Thanks to your generosity on the Autumn fundraising non-uniform day and the FOUM disco, the amounts raised were: £187.57 for non-uniform and £536 at the disco.

  

Lost property

The lost property is mounting up again with items that are not labelled.  Please, please, label coats, hats, scarves, gloves, uniform, lunchboxes, bags, shoes, boots, PE kits, etc.  Whatever your child wears or brings into school!

  

DOES YOUR CHILD HAVE ASTHMA? BE PREPARED FOR THE COLDER WEATHER

If your child has asthma, please make sure they have an inhaler in school that is in date and has the child's name and class on both the metal canister and the plastic holder.  If they are newly diagnosed with asthma, please ask the Receptionists for a medication form.

Children with diagnosed food allergies

If you have told us that your child has a food allergy, you will have been sent a form to complete which asks for a medical professional to sign as confirmation.  It is extremely important that the form is completed fully and correctly and it is signed before returning to school.  This form is for medical food allergies only.

Reception - Year 6 nasal flu immunisations

Please remember to return the completed nasal flu immunisation form by Wednesday 20th November. The immununisations will be administered on Friday 22nd November.
