Dear Parents and Carers

Parking before and after school

Unfortunately, we have recently had a number of complaints from local residents about the parking of some of our parents on the roads around school. We understand the difficulties that you have parking but please remember the following:

  • Do not park across driveways of any of the houses
  • Do not stop or park on zigzag yellow lines
  • Do not park on the pavement
  • Do not park on the H spaces - these are only for emergency access to the house

Please remember to drive slowly around school and be alert for parents and children crossing the roads.  Registration numbers of any cars who are seen driving eratically or parking illegally will be passed to the local police.

Data collection forms

Please remember to complete and return the Data Collection Sheet and SS12A forms as soon as possible.

It is important for us to have the correct information for your child and up to date emergency contacts.

School Gateway app - the place to find out everything that's happening at Uplands Manor

Spread the word that the School Gateway App is the place to find out what's happening at Uplands Manor.

Can you help other parents on the playground to download and start using the app?  We'd be grateful if you could.

If your child has done something special outside school - maybe they have helped someone or done something special.  Tell us so that the Uplands community can share in their celebration. Email headteacher@uplandsmanor.sandwell.sch.uk

ATTENDANCE

The national target for attendance in school is 96%.

It is really important that children are in school on time every day.

For the week ending 8th October, the whole school attendance was 92.7%.  The highest attending classes were:

  • RM
  • 1C
  • 2B
  • 3C
  • 4KS

Well done to all these classes for their great attendance. Could your class be the highest in the year group next week?

Below is a table showing the effect that absence has on your child's learning.

Please click on the link below for advice about the app and film.  The poster below also gives some guidance about film age ratings.
