We believe that it is important to celebrate achievements. As part of our 'Good to be Green' behaviour and reward system, each week, children may be given a certificate, a gold letter from a member of staff or a certificate from Mr Dickinson, Miss Copestake or Miss James.
Each week, children are chosen by teachers to receive awards to celebrate their achievements.
This week, awards have been given to:
- Konain M for having the belief to talk to adults
- Moriah H for always being enthusiatic in all she does
- Georgia Rae S for her determination and self-belief to get better in all she does
- Urwa F for persevering with fractions in maths
It's Great to be Gold!
Pupils who show exceptional behaviour for the majority of the week can be chosen to receive a gold letter. Gold letters have been given to:
- Renayah N for fabulous reading
Headteacher & Deputy Headteacher Awards
Congratulations to the children who have received a Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher award this week. They are:
- Jayden S for showing an enthusiastic approach in all subjects and having confidence to participate in classroom discussions and help his peers
- Israel A for his outstanding persuasive writing - well done!
- Vanya K for applying her DT skills at home and making an amazing interactive book - well done!
- Aiden R for achieving his targets and trying exceptionally well
- Manraj S for his outstanding effort with home learning
- Chris M for his outstanding effort with home learning
- Beatrice G for her fantastic use of language and grammatical structures

Reception
Free School Meals
Sandwell Local Authority are funding vouchers for those entitled to income based free school meals in February Half Term. If you think that you may be eligible please go to:

If your child is in Reception – Year 2 and receives universal free school meals, this does not automatically entitle them to a voucher – they are issued to those in receipt of income based free school meals only. If you earn less than £16,190 per annum or are in receipt of benefits (Not Working tax credits) then you may be entitled to income based free school meals and should apply online.

Impact of Lockdown on Children & Families - Parent Questionnaire
The Children’s Services and Education Scrutiny Board at Sandwell Council is undertaking a review into the impact of the lockdown on children and families and in particular the impact upon education and child attainment. We want to understand the experience of parents and how they feel their children's education has been impacted both positively and negatively throughout the Covid-19 Pandemic.
